Who is behind RP3 Rowing?

RP3 Rowing

RP3 Rowing is located in Haaksbergen, a small town in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Here we make and ship our indoor rowing machines, RP3 models S and T with an experienced team.

The product development and innovation is done by ourselves. We are constantly improving our offer, often driven by feedback from the growing group of customers and users.

With our software partner MoveLab, we have been working for many years on the development of the RP3 Monitor (App), RP3 Portal and RP3 Studio software (including e-Racing & e-Training).

A RP3 Studio space has been set up at our location for trails, demonstrations and is also used weekly for real group fitness sessions.

About us

Next to our RP3 staff in Haaksbergen, we are working with several organisations abroad (see: contact). Most of them are RP3 Dealer and Service Provider. Others are reselling our RP3 models in the specific countries.

We have two departments within the lean RP3 Rowing organisation: Operations & Production and Digital Marketing & Proposition Development. Product Innovation takes place on the cutting surface of those two.

The HQ staff is extended with a small group of students - rowers that work as intern on some of our projects.

And we work with a small group of users, some could be called ambassadors, which are helping us to share experience - The True Rowing Experience - and defining our product development roadmap.

RP3 Rowing is in the Transformation to become a Digital Company more and more. Users and customers obviously demand a modern proposition to meet the expectations and our mission is to provide a True Rowing Experience.

Frequently asked questions

Difference: What is the - mechanical - difference between model S en model T?

+

The RP3 Model S is the original design with a direct drive of the flywheel. The newly invented and designed Model T has got an indirect drive with two pulley wheels and a kevlar belt. See below:

The Model S has got a slightly more direct feeling at the catch, whereas the Model T has got a fraction of a second delay, what actually is better comparable how you could pick up the boat at the catch to get better connection with the blade in the water.

But even the best rowers in the world have their own preference on this. Not good or better, just a little different.
